Career Thomas Armit "Tom" Alexander (25 June 1934 - 9 January 2020) and John "Jack" Armit Alexander (11 November 1935 - 2 November 2013) were born at Thrashbush Avenue in Cambusnethan, near Wishaw. Encouraged by their musical mother, they started instrument lessons at an early age, with Tom favouring the accordion and Jack the piano.
